1 day to the Hammersmith Live at River Plate World Premiere
The Hammersmith theatre 24 hours from the big come back of AC/DC...
Not many signs of the AC/DC Live at River Plate DVD... But tomorrow it'll be different...
Will Orangus show up for the Hammersmith DVD premiere in London?

This is the big questions for all the readers of AC/DC Abruzzo blog. After more than 60 shows (41 only during the Black Ice tour) he proved to be as crazy as the AC/DC Abruzzo crew... And 2 days from the big event, we still don't have any news from him....
We met Orangus for the first time outside the legendary Hammersmith theatre in 2003, about one hour from the beginning of the concert. He was the one who provided the ticket for the President who had come to London without a ticket for the show...

"The Carling Apollo Theatre was almost empty. The lights had switched on just a few minutes before in the “stalls section”. The intense smell of sulfur was still floating in the air. Groups of people covered in sweat, smiling and chanting were slowly heading out of the theatre. Most had an excited, euphoric look as if they just had some sort of epiphany.
I could still feel the drone in my ears. I had a last glance at the cannons on the side of the stage responsible for the thunderous explosions earlier on, underlying the tempo of that unexpected Rock’n’Roll apotheosis.
The powerful riff and lyrics of “If You Want Blood, You’ve Got it” were still in my head…
And they would remain there for the next 5 years."

4 days to the Hammersmith Live at River Plate World Premiere

AC/DC Abruzzo Staff are finalizing the last details about the Rock'n'Roll trip to London. Andrea will leave from Rome. Matteo from Pescara. Stefano is already in London. And Orangus... well nobody knows about Orangus...
My friends are gonna be there too...
We received a lot of messages from old friends who will also be in London for this important event, from "Shoot to Phil" to Stonebreaker, from Rock'n'Roll nonno Alan to Capriele from AC/DC Italia... And many more!! According to rumours, the KOSP and the KOFK will be there too...

HAMMERSMITH THEATRE - 8 years after....
IT'S OFFICIAL! The whole AC/DC Abruzzo crew will attend the World Premiere of the new AC/DC live DVD (Live at River Plate) which will take place at the legendary Hammersmith Theatre in London!
Matteo, Stefano and Andrea (and you can bet that Orangus will show up too) will be back to the glorious rock'n'roll venue after 8 years from the show that changed their lives in 2003....
After 85 AC/DC shows and 90,000 miles around the world we will celebrate together the final chapter of the BLACK ICE TOUR!

AC/DC have just announced from their Facebook page that all the 5 members will attend the World Premiere on May 6, in London.
After almost 8 years AC/DC will make another historic come back to the Hammersmith Theatre!

We heard rumours in the last few days... Now it's official! The AC/DC Live at River Plate World Premiere will take place in London on Friday May 6 at the HMV Apollo theatre. You can win tickets through HMV by pre-ordering the DVD here.

BLACK ICE WORLD TOUR PHOTOBOOK! THANK YOU!
Five months ago, when the Black Ice World Tour 2008-2010 Photo Book was released, we didn't certainly expect so many good reviews and positive feedback from all AC/DC fans, from famous music journalists to simple concert goers... THANK YOU SO MUCH!
We managed to deliver a copy of the book to all the band members (and we are particularly happy about the fact that we were told that Malcolm liked it a lot). It hasn't been an easy job to make a book from scratch, but after travelling around the world for two years and seeing 85 different AC/DC shows we believed it was the right thing to do. And we did it.
AC/DC Abruzzo is now progressively going back to "normal" everyday life after 2 years of intense rock'n'roll lifestyle around the world with the greatest rock'n'roll band of all time. For those of you who followed our adventures, you might understand what we mean... With the President Matteo on his back way to Canada, Secretary General Stephano in London, the Vice President Andrea in Abruzzo with his wife (waiting for a little AC/DC baby fan!!) and Orangus in Milan, AC/DC Abruzzo will continue to believe that there will be another AC/DC concert...
One day...
Missing the World Tour... including the glorious KOSP-KK days... ;)

CONDOLEANCES TO JAPAN
Our beloved region of Abruzzo knows about the dramatic consequences of a earthquake since we were hit by a powerful one in April 2009, which entirely destroyed the historic city of L'Aquila killing hundreds of people. What happened in Japan is a total catastrophe and our hearts go out to Japan and to all those who lost someone during the earthquake or the Tsunami. As AC/DC fans we were even more sad because exactly one year ago we were visiting that beautiful country for the AC/DC Japan tour...
We know that the Japanese People is very strong, especially when facing difficult challenges, and will be able to rise again!
