AC/DC Abruzzo Official Review

The morning after AC/DC official come back show in Europe... We've got some fever, a bad cold, a massive sore throat. Our ears are still hurting... And we actually sound like Beavis and Butt Head when we speak... But we saw the European Premiere of the Black Ice tour and we're FUCKIN' HAPPY the boys are back in Europe after the Hammersmith 2003 show!!!!!!!!

The venue was an unusual one. Basically the Telenor Arena is a "football/soccer stadium" and it was inaugurated just a few weeks ago. According to our sources this was the first major event to take place there. So imagine a large soccer pitch with only one tier of seats.  The standing section was just huge if compared to any other covered arenas in Europe... Maybe too big. But it was General Admission. No reserved seat crap! A lot of jumping, pushing, screaming and FUN for everybody. Just pure, wild ROCK'N'ROLL... How to explain that to a NON-European? Just watch the NO BULL DVD and you'll get an idea!

AC/DC Abruzzo managed to watch the show on the right side of the section ( from the 3rd row-6th row) keeping touch with Vice President Andrea who was in Italy. It is clear that the Norwegians love beer so like 90% of people, including girls, were drunk. So drunk they actually looked stoned to us... But they were very kind and friendly. And we had a great time altogether!!

The Intro video was the same as in the US and it's very effective to raise the energy levels! The boys were in perfect shape. Obviously much better than Wilkes Barre. Brian kept cheering the crowd and made several remarks on how the Norwegian crowd rocked... The highlight was definitely SHOOT TO THRILL! The crowd really enjoyed and started to go wild! At last!! War Machine was also very powerful and we also loved the video with the come back of the Angus statue.

So after STT the show really changed pace with Let there Be Rock, Highway to Hell and For Those About to Rock to reach the energy peak. We actually expected Shoot To Thrill as second Encore, because of what we heard during the soundcheck, but probably they will keep that for a warmer crowd... Maybe Paris...

And now off to Stockholm!
